Think before you Speak

Think before you Speak

Because translation is often the last link in a communication production chain, customers often want a translation done for yesterday. They have no idea of the complexity involved, or the consequences of a failure, for them and for you. These customers have to be educated (politely), but in no case should you accept a request without first checking exactly what it entails, and making sure you can produce on time and with satisfactory quality what is requested. There is no reason why your reputation and bank account should be damaged (if you fail) by someone else’s failure to manage that production chain correctly further upstream. So as in the translation itself, always think before you speak.
