What is psycholinguistics? - Language Acquisition
Language acquisition is just one strand of psycholinguistics which is all about how people learn to speak and the mental processes involved. Are we taught to speak by our parents, or are we born with knowledge in our brains that help us to pick up language quickly? So really, it's a question of nature vs. nurtur
