Cloud translation provides dynamically scalable translation infrastructure and resources as service over the Internet ("cloud"). With cloud translation, the clients no longer need knowledge of, expertise in, ownership of or control over the translation infrastructure and resources for obtaining translations.
The term cloud is used as a metaphor for the Internet. Typical cloud translation services are accessed from a web browser, while the software and data are stored on the servers.
